The doctor's report is in...Joseph is doing great!
The doctors just visited with Mary and Kenny. They were happy to report that the surgery went well and that Joseph did great! The two holes have been repaired and the problem with the aorta was less extensive than expected. The doctors were able to do the preferred procedure for the aorta repair and thus were pleased. Kenny shared, "I made the doctor repeat the good news three times!" Interestingly enough, Joesph's heart is the size of a walnut. We discussed how lucky Joseph was to have such a talented team of doctors and nurses working on him. Mary and Kenny will get a quick glimpse of Joseph as he passes through to recovery. The Betances were all praying...
John checked the blog this morning, called Nana & Papa, who then called us and everyone has been praying...and will continue to pray..for little...I mean big, strong,and tough Joseph Edward Lund
